Scripps Spelling Bee Held at TMS

Tunstall Middle School students participated in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The students were given words to spell from materials prepared by the Scripps National Spelling Bee program. Students displayed knowledge learned throughout their school experience while competing for top honors. Isaac Van Allen, a seventh grader, claimed first place, and Emma Rojas, a sixth grader, was the second-place winner. The following students also earned their way into the final round of the school spelling bee: Greyson Jerrells, Emma Rojas, Isaac Van Allen, Aubrey Turner, and Brenden Davidson. Isaac and Emma will participate in the Danville Area Spelling Bee, which will be held at Averett University on Saturday, March 19, 2023.
